Sense and Sensibility

COVID-19

Stay safe and well.

REP is closely monitoring the updates and situation reporting from the ACT Government and ACT Health, following on from the ACT lockdown from 12 August, and we are acutely aware of our connection within the lives of our members, patrons and the community where we live.

Canberra REP and the Canberra REP Theatre are currently closed to the public. Our staff are working from home. Regular Box-Office hours still apply, Wed-Fri 10am-4pm. If you need to speak with us directly please leave a message on the phone system.
The Philo production of Grease has been postponed – we are unable to assist with phone enquiries – please contact ticketing [at] philo.org.au if you have any questions.

The Child Players production of The Pirates of Penzance has also been postponed - we will be in touch soon about your booking options.

If you are a REP member please keep an eye out for regular communication emails.

It is early days yet and we are unsure yet of our re-opening date and the level of restrictions which could be in place, so the REP Council has proposed some changes to the remainder of our 2021 Season. When we can resume, our production of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead will be performed as our next production, with the remaining two productions preformed in sequence but with possibly changed dates, moving Sense and Sensibility into early next year.

As such we are suspending web sales for our remaining three shows until we know more.

All subscribers and ticket holders will be contacted asap to assist in your options for holding or relocating bookings for the 2021 Season and possibly forward crediting you for the 2022 Season. Please be patient and wait to be contacted by REP staff. Currently we have not cancelled any productions.

Stay safe and be kind.
The Team at REP.

This production is part of REP's 2021 season of plays - subscription packages have priority booking until the end of November. Single ticket sales will open on 1 December.

A playful new adaptation of Jane Austen’s beloved novel follows the fortunes (and misfortunes) of the Dashwood sisters, shortly after their father’s sudden death. Set in gossipy 18-century England, with a fresh female voice, the play is full of humour, emotional depth and bold theatricality. When reputation is everything, how do you follow your heart?
