The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams

Performing 23 JULY–8 AUGUST
The Glass Menagerie is set in 1937 and tells the story of the Wingfield family who live together in a small St Louis apartment: Amanda, a faded Southern belle who constantly reminisces about her youthful popularity; her son, Tom, trapped between his desire for freedom and obligation to his family; his sister, Laura, a painfully shy young woman who retreats into a world of make-believe; and Jim, the gentleman caller, invited over to be a potential suitor for Laura.
Auditions are Sunday 24 May 2026 at Canberra REP Theatre.

There is a $5 cash deposit for scripts - refundable on return at the audition.
No card payments taken.
All actors will work closely with the director and the rest of the production team to rehearse and develop this show. Rehearsals may take place on some weeknights, and on weekends with days to be advised following casting, and rehearsals expected to increase closer to opening of the show.
Across this process, the production team is here to help and assist in any and all preparation for performance. Intimacy and choreography (where needed) will be provided.
NB: Please prepare the relevant speech/scene below. Southern American accents required.
