This year’s performance of Keyamura tells a gripping tale of betrayal, hidden identities and revenge. Rokusuke, a skilled swordsman, has been tricked into accepting an unfair deal with a certain Mijin Danjou, believing it will help this man’s family. Years later, Rokusuke has renounced the sword for a quiet life as a farmer—until fate brings him face to face with his sword master’s daughter, Osono, who seeks revenge for her father’s brutal murder. All problems lead back to one man, and as secrets unravel and old loyalties resurface, Rokusuke must once again take up the sword to restore honour and justice.
