Liv Boddington – Edith
Liv Boddington is a non-binary actress living, laughing, and learning on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land. Liv made their professional debut in 2022 as Leah in Everyman Theatre’s Beautiful Thing. Since then, they have performed in Echo Theatre’s Puffs and A Midsummer Nights Dream as Hermia. Hot off the heels of the 2025 season of The ‘Logues, Liv is very excited (and honoured!) to be working with the immense talent at REP.
Alex McPherson – Ruth Condomine
If Alex had a dollar for every production in which “heaven physics” was discussed, she would have two dollars. Which isn’t a lot, but it’s strange it happened twice.
Favourite roles include Princess Fred (Once Upon A Mattress, Ickle Pickle, 2019), Queen of Hearts (Alice in Wonderland, Ickle Pickle, 2018), Brooke/Vicki (Noises Off, REP, 2016), Goldilocks (Goldilocks, Centrepiece Theatre, 2013), Cecily Cardew (The Importance of Being Earnest, Free-Rain, 2010) and Elinor Dashwood (Sense and Sensibility, Free-Rain, 2009). Her most recent treading of the REP stage was as Other Woman/The Stranger (Dead Man’s Cell Phone, REP, 2024).This is Alex’s first Noel Coward play and it has been even more fun than she had thought it could be. Although she is awfully clumsy, so the chances of her running into the furniture are definitely higher than zero.
Peter Holland – Charles Condomine
Peter made his stage debut in Canberra with the UC Players' 2005 production of 'Allo 'Allo, playing the role of the hapless German officer Herr Flick. He has since worked with a number of theatre companies, most notably REP and Free Rain. For Free Rain he has played the parts of Edgar Linton (Wuthering Heights) and Horace Gilmer (To Kill a Mockingbird). For REP his performances have included that of Bernard Nightingale (Arcadia by Tom Stoppard), Charles Surface (The School for Scandal by Richard Sheridan), Richard Greatham (Hay Fever by Noel Coward) and Sir Andrew Aguecheek (Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night). Blithe Spirit is Peter's 24th production for REP, and he hopes to participate in many more to come.
John Stead – Doctor Bradman
After a hiatus due to work commitments and living away from Canberra, John returned to the stage with REP as the Naval Officer in Lord of the Flies. John has been an actor, stage manager, director, and lighting designer for numerous productions in Canberra. Among his acting credits for REP are: Tranio in Taming of the Shrew, Alan Strang in Equus, Lysander in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Bernard in Death of a Salesman; for the Canberra Theatre Trust: Fred and the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come in A Christmas Carol; for Canberra Philharmonic: Richard D’Oyly Carte in Tarantara! Tarantara!
Antonia Kitzel – Mrs Bradman
Antonia has been involved with theatre since 2nd grade, when she played the Baker's wife in The Baker's Dozen. While studying English and German literature and linguistics, she realised that exploring a character opens up unique access to the written word, and theatre has been part of her life ever since. She tried to stop after finishing Uni to become a serious adult, but failed and soon found herself back on the stage. Favourite productions include (in Germany) Romeo and Juliet (Nurse), Blithe Spirit (Edith), Eleemosynary (Artie), The Vagina Monologues, Dickens by Candlelight (Narrator), Shakespeare Anyone? Fame and Fortune, and with REP Dr. Frankenstein (Mary), Arms & the Man (Catherine), To Kill a Mockingbird (Miss Maudie), The Governor’s Family (Helena Mountbatten) and Bloody Murder (Lady Sommerset). Antonia was awarded Best Actress at the Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies (FEATS) in 2006 and 2009. Antonia is thrilled to work with this wonderful cast of humans and hopes you will enjoy this quirky classic.
Elaine Noon – Madame Arcati
2024 saw Elaine performing in two REP shows, Vic and other characters in Away and Mrs Gottlieb in Dead Man’s Cell Phone. In 2023 she performed in Canberra Youth Theatre’s The Trials as Defendant 3. In 2022, Elaine played Jock MacDonald in The Torrents for Mill Theatre, Mrs Higgins in Tempo Theatre’s Pygmalion and Marge in Hotel Sorrento for REP. Prior to that, she played Penelope in The Penelopiad, a Crouching Giraffe production; Merridee in papermoon theatre’s production of Wicked Sisters and Helene in REP’s A Doll’s House. Elaine has also performed in Trelawney of the Wells as Mrs Mossop; She Stoops to Conquer as Mrs Hardcastle; Ann Putman in The Crucible; Mrs Bradman in Blithe Spirit; Annie in Calendar Girls; Out of Order; Secret Bridesmaid’s Business; Lost in Yonkers and It Runs in the Family for REP. Elaine is also a regular voice actor on ArtSound Radio Theatre.
Winsome Ogilvie – Elvira
Winsome’s keen interest in acting was cultivated at university. She acted in such roles as Elizabeth(Older) in When the Rain Stops Falling, Lexi in Macbitches and Roy in Cosi as a member of the National University Theatre Society and ShakeSoc. Outside of ANU she performed in Everyman Theatre’s production of Five Women Wearing the Same Dress as Meredith at ACT Hub (for which she was nominated for an Ovations Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy), followed by Piggy in REP’s production of Lord of the Flies in 2024. She is delighted to be back at REP a second time and acting in something less depressing.
