Canberra REP presents:

ONE ACT REPERTORY

23 and 24 October 2026

Canberra REP will host a return One Act Play Festival on the weekend of 23 and 24 October 2026 at the Canberra REP theatre.

We invite companies or individuals to enter short plays between 12 and 60 minutes in length featuring at least 2 actors. (Monologues should enter the ‘Logues at the start of the year.)

Entries should be submitted via this form and close on 31 August 2026

Session Times:

• Saturday Afternoon 24/10
• Saturday Evening 24/10
• Friday Evening 23/10
• Saturday Morning 24/10 (only if required)

Royalties:

All entrants are individually responsible for the payment of royalties associated with their play directly with the playwright or agent.

Entries:

• Entries are via the online web form and require an entry fee of $50 to be paid via <payment method to come>.
• A copy of the script and proof of rights must be sent to studio@canberrarep.org.au before 1 October 2026.
• A marked up script with all technical cues must be provided by 10 October 2026.
• Any sound cues should be provided in a digital format by 10 October 2026.

Performance Details:

• Entrants must provide at least one person to assist backstage with managing their performance.
• Canberra REP will provide basic set dressing such as sofa, arm chair, kitchen table with 4 chairs to those that request it.
• 90 minutes prior to each session will be open to move into and out of the backstage area.
• Lighting will consist of 2 halves to combine for 3 possible configurations.
• Plays will have 10 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to strike.
