Carmen King – Stage Manager
Carmen has stage managed over a dozen productions for REP since 2002 including Under Milkwood, She Stoops to Conquer, What the Butler Saw, and Sense and Sensibility. She was the Canberra stage manager for the Pigeonhole Theatre productions of Playhouse Creatures, Summer of the 17th Doll, and Switzerland and in 2017 Carmen was incredibly proud to be part of the team that was invited to perform Playhouse Creatures in the Mondial du Theatre, held in Monaco. In recent years, Carmen stage-managed Belfast Girls and A Midsummer Night’s Dream for Echo Theatre at The Q; the debut production for Alchemy Artistic, The Boys; and Every Brilliant Thing for ACT Hub. She has also been known to appear on stage from time to time, most recently in REP’s Crimes of the Heart playing Lenny.
Liz de Totth - Production Manager
With some 40-odd years of performing under her belt, Liz has packed away her makeup, closed that book and left it in the past. However, acting is not the only road to participation in theatre – Liz has undertaken many of the roles off-stage that are rarely seen, or even thought of, by the audiences. She has worked as Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, props wrangler, Assistant Director, rehearsal prompt, lighting operator, Front of House Manager, bar service, box office, and Production Manager, as well as serving on REP Council for 8 years, and is now the Minutes Secretary for Council. All this to continue the presentation of high standard, amateur theatre to you, the audience – the most vital part of the equation.
Russell Brown OAM • Set Coordinator
Russell has been a member of REP for over 50 years, and in that time he has been involved in almost every aspect from President to performing, set design to set building, props making, furniture making, and tricky effects. With his dedicated team of builders and painters, he whiles away his time making magic for our audiences. He was recently named REP Living Treasure for his many contributions to the Society.
Wolfgang Hecker - Front of House Coordinator
Wolf has been member of REP since 2009 and, since then, has been, and remains, actively involved in supporting REP and its home theatre. The main areas of his participation include set building, building renovations, building and plant maintenance, serving on Council as technical liaison, including as a past Vice President, organising social events, and participation in Front of House, including coordination. These roles are vital to the continuation of REP, enabling the company to present productions of high calibre to the audiences.
