Craig has been involved in amateur theatre for over five decades, with his first production in 1975, always behind the scenes as a backstage crew member, set builder, truck driver, or prop maker. More recently, doing all things lighting (dome operator, console operator, designer), he has been nominated for multiple awards, winning Outstanding Lighting Design for Dog Fight (Dramatic Productions) in 2023. Over the years, Craig has worked with many of Canberra’s production companies for example, Dramatic Productions, Canberra Philharmonic Society, Canberra Gang Show, Peewee Productions, Budding Entertainment, Green Oak Theatre, Queanbeyan Players, Phoenix Players, Ickle Pickle Productions, Free Rain Theatre and of course, REP on too many productions to list.
Claire Middleton • Costume Design
Claire, recently returned from Germany, makes her Rep debut this year on the costume team for Travelling North. She brings seven years of experience with Entity Theatre e.V. in Munich, where she single-handedly created period costumes for their summer Shakespeare in the Park productions. Working with a limited budget, she developed a highly creative approach, upcycling second-hand clothing and fabrics—many sourced from Munich’s vibrant flea markets. After years abroad, Claire is thrilled to reconnect with the local arts scene and collaborate with the talented makers at REP.
Darcy Abrahams • Costume Design
Darcy Abrahams is a costumer, artist and clothing designer from the ACT. Making her start in sustainable fashion and DIY event coordination, she broke onto the Canberra theatre scene last year with her costuming debut for REP’s 2025 production of Low Pay? Don’t Pay! Darcy uses upcycling and hand sewing practices to create eyecatching and ornate costuming pieces with a touch of whimsy. You can see more of Darcy’s work on Instagram @lilchumbaclothing or as a part of the ACT Hub’s production of “Caligula” in July.
